Getting a taste of new home

LEIGH Genesis FC full-timers Richard Chetcuti, Josh Wilson, Jon Goulding and Jordan Stepian have tried out the pitch at the new Leigh Sports Village Stadium for the first time.
Under the watchful eye of chairman Dominic Speakman and manager Steve Bleasdale the four players had a short training session on the pitch.
Despite a short delay in taking up residence at Leigh Sports Village Stadium, the squad are using other facilities for training such as the 3G pitches.
“The Sports Village is home to several organisations, all interested in promoting sport; it is for the benefit of all of us that we work together,” said Mary Croasdale Genesis general manager.
“Leigh Harriers Athletic Club offers our players a new dimension by giving valuable sprint training with the obvious advantage of variety of venue. We are delighted to have developed a good working partnership with them.”
