PROUD members of Howe Bridge Aces have received the club’s Swim 21 certificate.
Amateur Swimming Association coordinator for Greater Manchester, Louise Gardiner, handed over the award at the culimnation of almost 12 months of hard work by How Bridge’s coaches and officials.
The certificate recognises that the club is now formally listed by the ASA as one of quality.
The Aces are accredited for providing safe, effective and quality services for the benefit of its members.
Swim 21 was introduced by the ASA as a planning tool, based on the principles of long term athlete development to enable clubs to help athletes, teachers, coaches and administrators achieve their full potential.
For the Aces, members of Central Lancashire Swimming Association, this year is promising to be a great success with a club record tally of medals from the competitions they have entered so far.
The club can currently boast an unbeaten record in the association league competitions, with five wins out of five.
Howe Bridge will be holding a 1,200 length sponsored swim tomorrow, Friday, in aid of Christies Hospital.
