Lancs miss out

A LANCASHIRE side featuring four Leigh players missed out on the county title when they fell to newly crowned champions Cumbria 20-14 at Leigh Miners on Sunday.

Leigh Miners Raners’ Keiron Dainty, Leon Brennan and Adam Thomason were at full back, stand off and loose forward respectively, while Leigh East’s Johno Smith was in the back row.

Brennan had a hand in the opening Lancashire try scored by Bank Quay Bulls prop Phil Braddish as well as their second and third touch downs by Steve King.
