TYLDESLEY ground out a win that looked beyond them until the final quarter.
The visitors got on the scoreboard first when they executed a short-range blindside move and opened their account with an unconverted try after 10 minutes.
Tyldesley responded when they were awarded their first penalty.
The home pack executed a driving maul which saw Laga emerge with the ball for his first Tyldesley try.
Glossop started the second period as the better side and almost immediately scored from an excellent long-range driving maul.
The unfortunate sin binning of Crampton on 45 minutes resulted in Bongs having to dig deep in the face of a dominant Glossop pack.
Coach Williams decided on a double substitution during the sin binning and the introduction of two players at either end of their first-team careers was perhaps the fresh legs Bongs needed.
With Laga and Brown making way for young Nathan Rushton and veteran Edge, Tyldesley seemed to find a new lease of life.
They saw out the remaining sin-bin period with a great team effort.
Then when Glossop had a man binned for a repeat offence close to his own line Bongs used the extra man well to score.
Veteran Edge put a miss-out pass to winger Varden and he finished with aplomb for his fifth try of the campaign.
With five minutes remaining Tyldesley managed to turn their pressure into the decisive points when Edge capped a great display by burrowing his way over.
