Shallow thinking or bad memory, Hank. Bolton fans didn't turn on Armfield or Rioch after they left for 'bigger clubs'. And, quite frankly, after 50+ years a fan I don't give a d*mn whether you care about my comment or not.

Well said , feel abit sorry for him , but cant help thinking newcastle might get dragged into relegation scrap. How good would it be if they give shearer the job and he takes them down . The god of newcastle gets them relegated . Be wonderful .

Birch - an insider told me last week that there were rumblings of Allardyce coming back as chairman. He didn't elaborate on it or say where it had come from but he has enlightened me with some titbits over the years – some of which have happened (Anelka signing for us ) and some haven’t (Diouf to Inter Milan last summer).
