No let up for Whites — Cohen

TAMIR Cohen has urged Wanderers to ride the crest of a wave at Goodison Park tomorrow.

The Whites arrive on Merseyside having won three of their last four games, easing the pressure of relegation significantly.

But the Israel international believes a top half finish is beyond his side unless they capitalise on their current change in fortune.

“We’ve taken nine points from a possible 12, so that is very good. But we are still not safe from relegation yet,” he said.

“I think we are four points off 11th but I think that we can achieve this.

“We have a very tough game against Everton, especially because it is at their ground, but if we do everything right I believe we can get something there “We have to look as high as we can right now. If we don’t then in the next month we’ll see that we are in relegation trouble again.”

Cohen believes the dressing room spirit — hailed even before Owen Coyle’s arrival — has grown even stronger in recent months.

And the midfielder reckons this will give Wanderers the edge over their relegation rivals as the season draws to a close.

“Everyone is playing together – it is not just about one player,” he said. “We win together and we lose together and that is what is so special about this football club.

“Individual players come together to make a group. We knit together. You play for your mates.”
