THIRD-PLACED visitors Skelmersdale United kept up the pressure on the leaders with a narrow victory over 10-man Genesis.
Genesis struggled to retain possession against a well-organised Skelmersdale side and the visitors took the lead on 56 minutes when Ledsham found himself in the clear and slotted past Drench.
Leigh’s hopes of mounting a comeback were extinguished on 78 minutes when skipper Karl Munroe was shown a second yellow card and given his marching orders for the third time this season.
