LEIGH Centurions open their Championship campaign at Featherstone Rovers on Sunday on the back of a second warm-up win.
Following success over a young Wigan outfit, Paul Rowley's men edged out Swinton Lions 16-6 at Leigh Sports Village on Friday night.
Due to a snow blizzard, the match was abandoned with less than 10 minutes remaining but the 70 minutes of action had served its purpose of helping the players prepare for the rigours to come.
Tries from Gregg McNally and Andy Thornley as well as one conversion from Martyn Ridyard handed Leigh a 10-0 in the first half.
Jack Morrison responded with a converted try for a new-look Swinton side featuring nine young Warrington Wolves players on dual registration.
Ryan Brierley's late converted try wrapped up the night.
