LEIGH Centurions fell to an opening day defeat in the Championship.
Paul Rowley's side returned over the Pennines with a 38-6 loss to Featherstone Rovers at the Big Fellas Stadium.
The game was over as a contest before Martyn Ridyard crossed for Leigh's solitary try in the second half.
Rovers, beaten Grand Finalists in 2012 and many pundits' favourites for the title this year, were 22-0 ahead before the break.
Their try scorers were Tom Hodson, two, Andy Kain, two, Andrew Ellis, Kyle Briggs and Tommy Saxton.
