YORK City Knights assistant coach Chris Thorman has no new injury concerns ahead of Sunday’s Northern Rail Cup game with Leigh Centurions.
Thorman said: “We’ve got no reason to change the squad from those who were going to play last week. We’re just raring to get a game under our belts.”
He continued: “Leigh beat Oldham and I’ve heard that it was a competitive, decent game, but I’m not going to look too much into results. The more teams play, the better they’re going to get.
“We’ll certainly be respecting them but hopefully coming up with a game plan that can give us a positive outcome.
“It’s a challenge but hopefully we can rise to that challenge because it’s going to be a very good marker for us to show us where we’re at.”
Danny Meekin is available for Leigh after recovering from a sternum problem.
Centurions assistant coach Paul Rowley said: “Last week showed we’ve got lots to work on and lots of improving to do, but the signs are there that we can get a lot better. We wouldn’t want to be peaking at this time of the year.”
