LEIGH Centurions player Mick Govin has been suspended for two years after he was found guilty of breaching the RFL’s anti-doping regulations.
Govin provided a sample containing benzoylecgonine (a metabolite of cocaine) after a match against Hunslet Hawks on May 22, 2011. The player admitted the charge in writing and has accepted the mandatory two-year period of suspension.
Govin’s suspension commenced from June 12, 2011, which is the day his provisional ban commenced, and expires at midnight on June 11, 2013.
