12:43pm Friday 2nd May 2008

comment Comments (48)   Have your say »

SUPPORTERS planning to attend Wanderers crunch clash with Sunderland at the Reebok tomorrow must purchase tickets today.

Greater Manchester Police's decision to classify the game as "all-ticket"

for all fans means the original plan to sell tickets on the day to Bolton supporters has been changed.

The Reebok ticket office will stay open until 7.30pm tonight and the Market Place outlet will stay open until 6pm.

Fans can pre-order tickets for collection by calling 0871 871 2932.

I'm going because, despite Megson, I enjoy watching the Whites. As bad as we've been this season I could count on the fingers of 1 hand the home games I havent enjoyed this season (away games are a different matter).

if your a bolton fan you go tomorrow. i went aldershot away relegation play offs. this is a piece of cake compared to that. it's not a surprise we have'nt sold out, nowt to do with megson just have a crap fan base. it's in our history. look it up. no megson when we sold about 12000 tickets for home tie semi final league cup. no gartside or megson when we were murdering the opposition with free flowing football with todd as manger 100 goals and 98 points. 13000 at some home matches. i could go on. yeah the football is shocking, but im a bolton fan so i go.west brom, derby etc put us to shame.

I agree - we all stand together tommorow for the sake of the club.
Not sure I buy into the attendances argument though. Lets face it West Brom & Derby have not got 6 other premiership clubs on their doorstep - one of which is Man Utd who are probably equivalent to two clubs attendance wise. Add to this the myriad of championship and lower league clubs in the same patch and I think we do OK. Could be better though.
Wigan coming up at a time when attendances have been fallin generally has not helped.

Jussi future to be resolved
Jaaskelainen set to depart Bolton
Jussi Jaaskelainen's future will be resolved shortly, his agent has confirmed, although he will almost certainly not be at Bolton.

The Finland shot-stopper has been at The Reebok Stadium for 11 years, playing over 300 times for The Trotters.

However, Jaaskelainen is now set to depart the club when his contract expires this summer, and his representative Peter Harrison has confirmed that Bolton have shown little interest in securing his future.

"We have had one round of talks with Bolton and that was some 12 months ago, since then we have heard nothing," Harrison told skysports.com.

Interest

Now a host of clubs are believed to be showing an interest with Middlesbrough the latest side strongly linked.

Tottenham, Aston Villa and West Ham all have a long-standing interest in the Finn, although clubs from Spain, Italy and Germany are also attracted by the promise of landing him as a free agent.

"There are several clubs showing an interest and we would expect a deal to be tied-up soon," Harrison added

Reevsey n Philliskirk, stood ont burnden terrace (Bread Isle at ASDA now) says...

For all those who haven't managed to get tickets to Chelsea, this match will be our last chance to see the likes of Campo, Diouff and Stelios 'cause more than likeley, relegated or not these players who have served us well in past seasons (prior to Mugson) will be leaving this Summer so this is our last chance to give them a cracking send off, that is if Mugson lets them play so lets get behind the players and wish them well

I didnt say the games have been "entertaining", I'm just saying I have enjoyed most games. I mean I would rather be at the Reebok when we are playing than be elsewhere listening on the radio. Which games have been so dire? I'm not saying which games have we lost, I'm asking which have been terrible to watch at home. And can you please name me ONE home game we have set out to draw 0-0? My answer is in previous post, you seem to think that if we play poorly we cant enjoy being there. I enjoy the banter, the atmosphere, seeing players like Cahill, Gardner, Al Habsi perform. Megson may be doing his best to ruin our team but so far he hasnt made me hate everything about the matches. If you havent been to any games since Anelka was sold how do you know what the games have been like???

Signing Rasiak and Cohen. Horrendous tactics, giving up the cup competitions, especially the eufa cup when we could quite easily have got to the final, selling our best striker when he was under contract, not replacing him when he had "contingency plans". Need I go on! MEGSON OUT

I seem to remember BSA bought a few duffers, Lardel for one.Mr Megsons tactics are all but the same. BSA put out lesser sides when needs must. Anelka made it quite clear if a top four club came in for him he was off,I can only repeat what I said.

Thats just it we have a chance with 2 games to go ( 1 of which is against a title chasing team) - if they put the tea lady in charge last November we would have been safe by now. "We have a chance" despite "Mr Megson",as you politely refer to him when ginger t****r is more appropriate, certainl

Mike, youve gone very quiet. You dont appear to be able to answer a simple question. What as Megson done right? Yes I do remember Jardel, but I also remember J J, Djorkieff, Hierro etc. Anelka was under contract and could have been made to stay. Thats if the manager would have been strong enough to stand up to Gartside. I must give you some credit though for being brave enough to admit you are a Megson fan. Must be something in the air in Windermere

Despite not being there tomorrow I do wish the team all the best and I will have my fingers crossed they do the business..I will be there next season whatever divison they are in but ONLY if Megson isnt..I refuse to pay hard earned cash to watch the tripe he calls football. This isnt a dig at the team but the manager...We deserve so much better. The thought of football in the fizzy pop league with Megson in charge is more than I can stand. They have been and always will be my club but I refuse to be taken for granted by Gartside and co any more...I have to admit that this decision is easier for me to take than for others as have a job that regularly means I cant get to many games anyway and I have to pick and choose my games. HERES HOPING!!

Bad games yes. Just like Chelsea v Wigan, Man City v Wigan, Everton v Derby etc - poor games, they happen. But we tried to beat Fulham and City. We werent good enough. We arent good enough. The manager is too negative. But I have been to all the home games this season and in the league we have been on the front foot for most games, we may have been poor v City and Fulham but certainly we were the better team in both games and the only team likely to score. If you think we werent trying to score in those games you plainly didnt go to them. I dont think I have said anything that anyone could disagree with - I have enjoyed watching most games at the Reebok this season because they have been close, well contested games, and we have tried to win most or all of them. If only we could just get Megson to pick our best players.

fulham, derby, man city and middlesboro to name a few of dire games which we didnt even look like we knew the rules were to try and score goals. the only entertaining games i can think of this season at home: reading, arsenal (despite result good to see two teams playing for the victory) and wigan. there have also been a couple of enjoyable, if very boring games such as west ham, man u and birmingham. but overall the majority of home games this season have been awful, its always most interesting seeing evenly matched teams but we have been completely outclassed on numerous occasions, and then often when playing the other awful teams (of which we are very fortunate there are plenty this season) have looked completely toothless and unable to conjure up anything

ive always said the reebok is a lifeless stadium, killing the enjoyment of football, but watching football itself has always been enjoyable. this season though its been worse than watching a sunday league side, certainly in terms of passion, but also skill
