Blackpool Wren Rovers 4 Atherton Colls 3
COLLS visit to last seasons West Lancashire League Champions and Lancashire County FA Winners Wren Rovers gave manager Steve Pilling food for thought.
Colls took the lead early on after Paul Shanley was upended in the box and Joe Evans despatched the spot kick.
Defensive errors allowed Rovers to take a 3-1 lead into the second half and they soon made it 4-1.
Joe Fielding tapped in after some good approach play and then Evans' deflected effort set up an exciting finish.
* On Saturday, Colls welcome St Helens Town, 3pm kick off, and old adversaries Charnock Richard visit on Monday for a Goldline Trophy fixture, 7.45pm kick off.
