A new element for Widnes...
The Hillcrest hotel and palms restaurant has for a long time been the corner stone and in the mind and memories with the local population, recently with the growth of the town centre for entertainment and eateries the restaurant has become an historic folk story of times gone by.
The restaurant has now been re-designed and renamed to bring it up to the standards expected today. The hotel, where possible, has used local suppliers and contractors to carry out the work and design of the restaurant.
The food also has experienced a transformation, with the created dishes being traditional in thought but prepared and presented in a modern and exiting way. We truly believe that you cannot experience this quality and innovation in any other restaurant in the area.
The restaurant has been named Cu after the large amounts of copper within the restaurant itself. The service is designed to be attentive but not stuffy, making everybody feel welcome.
The Kitchen team is headed up by Andrew Ferguson, who has gained his experience from a number of quality establishments, most notably the second floor restaurant at Harvey Nichols in Manchester, the front of house team is led by Simon Cowie who with many years experience within the food service industry is the perfect host to lead the team to serve you.
The restaurant opens to the public from Saturday 29th October from 7pm, with the menu changing seasonally and priced at £21.95 for 3 courses. Earlybird menus will be available during the week from Monday to Friday where you can enjoy 3 courses for the price of 2. Sunday lunch will also experience a new concept when the carvery will be brought to you in the form of a Sunday lunch sharing board, on a Sunday the menus will be extended for main courses, with starters and desserts being available for you to build your own meal from a wide selection of options. The restaurant is open from 12:30pm with last tables being available from 5pm.
