THE region's top businesspeople gathered at the DeVere Whites Hotel on Thursday to celebrate the brightest local business talent.

All the movers and shakers put on their best suits and poshest frocks to arrive at the annual bolton and bury business awards in style.

The awards were presented by Gordon Burns, while former cricketer Geoff Miller provided the entertainment.

Among the winners were a forensic science team, an innovative light bulb gadget and a community art project.

The big winner of the night was Parcels2Go, which scooped the prestigious business of the year award.

The father-and-son parcel delivery company now has a turnover of £11 million pounds.
