Act now says action group

SIR, We only have until February 25 to write to the Council opposing their plans to build a megaschool on Hesketh Meadow Playing Fields. We have created a website to help www.heskethmeadowactiongroup.co.uk where there are facts and figures on transport, admissions, oversubscriptions, catchment area, special needs provision and the address to write to, and new info is being uploaded all the time.

SIR, I was shocked when I rang Wigan Council to ask them to collect a bed base for disposal.I was told that because I had a mattress removed by their waste collection team last August I would have to pay £75 for the removal of the base. But if I waited until this coming August it would be done for free!
