ON reading the letter in the Journal by Stephen McCann recently, my wife and I couldn’t help but give a broad smile.
Since Leigh was stripped of its A&E facilities forcing people to travel long distances, the NHS walk-in centre has always been known by us as ‘the dog bite clinic’ (despite the obvious good work that is presently being done there).
However this doesn’t mask the fact that then, as now, with the infamous guided bus route, the wishes of the Leigh people have again been ignored.
Local elections are now over, and the opportunity to make your voices heard has passed (for the time being).
So no more moaning, you have only yourselves to blame if you failed to vote.
