Treasured photograph
DURING this period of remembrance I wish to submit this signed photograph of someone’s treasured relative from the 1930s.
Frank enlisted about 1930, together with his bosom pal Lawrence Gallagher, joining the Lancashire Fusiliers and serving in Palestine and India.
They left the Army around 1937, but were recalled when the Second World War was declared in 1939. They stayed together until Lawrence was discharged owing to stomach ulcers shortly after Dunkirk.
