THE construction disruption from the guided busway comes from the fact that it crosses busy main roads at street level.
There are no bridges!
So how will the disruption improve when the construction is completed and the projected seven buses an hour are crossing these roads?
Crossing points are: 1 Holden road, 2 Astley Street, 3 Hough Lane. The old railway line ran under the bridge at Hough Lane, but TFGM has decided to run the busway across this busy road instead. Then the busway crosses road number 4. Mosley Common Road. No bridges at all you will notice.
When construction is complete, the disruption and gridlock will begin.
