AS a resident of Stour Road I’ve now lost money from work as I can no longer get into Manchester on time regardless of what time I set off.

This is due of course to the ‘misguided’ busway workings and road closures on Hough Lane, and restrictions to many others.

The East Lancs, now down to one lane from Worsley through to Swinton, is a complete and utter nightmare.

Several times my trip computer reveals my car travelling one or two miles in a whole hour.

TFGM’s short sighted planning is lacking in depth of thought and is simply appalling for many reasons.

The economy is being damaged because people travelling in this busy corridor cannot get to work on time at a cost to both employers and employees.

Most people don’t work in one place and have to have good travelling access into and out of major cities.

Lorry drivers, van drivers, sales reps, etc cannot get their goods on a bus.

They need to be able to travel without restrictions.

How many people will catch the guided bus during the rush hour?

How many hundreds of thousands of people in cars, vans and lorries will be held up while a small minority of people get to work on time on the bus?

Summary: Any plan which helps the minority of people get to work on time while making the vast majority of people late is insanity.
