THE following ideas seem so simple – it’s painful to see such chaotic planning by TFGM.

Stop the dilution of the work force who are scattered all over the place doing a bit here, and a bit there.

Pool the workforce numbers to get Hough Lane opened as a priority, easing the traffic pressure on the East Lancs.

Drivers can filter away from the area taking alternative routes through Little Hulton up to Manchester Road and Walkden etc.

Only work on one section of the East Lancs at a time. Pool the entire workforce and finish the first section of the busway between Boothstown and Worsley.

Stop all other work on the East Lancs towards Manchester and open the rest of the East Lancs.

This will mean only one section is restricted at any time.

The increased workforce can finish the Boothstown to Worsley section quickly and re-open it.

The remaining stretches of the East Lancs can be built one at a time with a greatly increased workforce halving the time.

My head is now hurting after banging it against the wall..
