Missing names added to Roll of Honour
ATHERTON Royal British Legion and Atherton Royal Naval Association have been successful in negotiating with WLCT to have names missing from the Roll of Honour from WW1, WW11, Malaya, Northern Ireland and Iraq included on Atherton Cenotaph.
It is proposed that a short dedication prayer will be read prior to the start of the Remembrance Service on Sunday, November 8.
I would also like to thank Peter Wilkie (Atherton RNA), Bob Splaine (Atherton Royal British Legion) and Andrew Bond from WLCT whose joint efforts over the last two years made this possible.
