FOR the second time the way across Hough Lane Bridge has been closed.
The first time was about a month ago and the panels enclosing the footpath were lying on the ground at various angles making it impassable.
This time I was coming from Astley and again I found the way impassable with panels lying across the pathway.
I decided to walk and to get home took me one-and-a-half hours and, at my age, it was difficult.
There is no other way except by walking to Princes Avenue/Astley Street in order for me to get home.
This busway should never had been started. If the rail could not have been put back then an ordinary road and single decker buses would have been possible, without knocking down bridges and doing all this work.
It would also have been a lot cheaper and less upheaval for the community.
