IT’S a new year and Tyldesley Market is back.
Tyldesley Residents Association and the market officers have been working hand-in-hand to bring back the much-needed traditional market to Tyldesley, and it has gone down a storm with the residents and local businesses.
On January 15 the very first Tyldesley traders opened up on the new Market Square and the reports back from local residents on Tyldesley Residents Association’s Facebook group has been amazing.
Many who went to the market have said ‘we are so glad our market is back’, ‘this market is much-needed in the town and as a community we are glad we have great stalls to buy from’ and ‘I’m so glad we have a market to buy fresh meat and fish instead of processed foods – thank you for bringing the market back’.
The official launch of the market is on February 5 and we invite you all to come and join the TRA in celebrating the re-opening of Tyldesley Market.
The TRA wants to give a big thank you to the market officers for help given in bringing back our market to our town.
Matthew James, Tyldesley Residents Association member
