SEVEN-year-old mongrel Charlie is our pet of the week.
Owner John Whittle, of Holden Road, Leigh, said: “We picked him up from Leigh Dogs and Cats Home. We think he ws originally a stray and I’d describe him as a quiet lump.
“Has a little sister, a cross between a Staffordshire bull terrier and a labrador called Daisy. He’s the boss, but he let’s her have her own way all the time.
“It’s actually a shock if he ever barks.
“Charlie enjoys his walks and loves lying in front of the fire on cold winter days.
“Cheese is one of his favourite foods. If you say the word to him his ears fly up.”
If you want your pet to feature send a photograph of them with your name and contact details, including a daytime telephone number, and some information about your pet to newsdesk@leighjournal.co.uk.
