I WAS upset to read about a lady with disabilities’ awful experience at Leigh Market in a recent letter in the Journal, but as the name of the worker and the stall concerned was not mentioned I feel the need to respond.

As the owner of E & J Cards – not the card stall referred to in the letter – I would like the customers of Leigh Market to be reassured that such treatment would not happen on our stall or on most other stalls.

Leigh Market is a very disabled and able bodied friendly market and hope I that our loyal and new customers will not be put off by one stall holders ‘bad day’.
