RESCUE cat Luna is our pet of the week.
Owner Martin Boardman, of Patterdale Road, Leigh, adopted her after she had been dumped in a box at the Bleakholt Animal Sanctuary in Ramsbottom.
The 35-year-old engineer said: “We have had tests done and she is between eight and 11 years old.
“She was so nervous when I got her that it seems she’s had a difficult past.
“She had fur loss where she’d over-groomed herself and she wouldn’t eat because of stress, but after hearing her story I had to adopt her.
“I always go for the underdog and now she is happy and extremely affectionate.
“I often find her waiting on the sofa for me to get home from work so we can sit on the couch together, and she wakes me up every morning.”
