IN this time of austerity I find it incredibly generous of Wigan Council to spend our money on funding the Kámoši youth club all year round and holding events at Leigh Library to celebrate Roma International Day.
Fast forward to April 23, 2016, St George’s Day, patron saint of England, which coincided with the 400 anniversary of William Shakespeare’s death and events planned across the globe for the world’s greatest playwright.
What happened in Leigh, Lancashire, England? Nothing.
Shame on you Wigan Council.
