AS an Atherton resident I recently received both the Labour and the independent election leaflets.
Councillor Hodgkinson, who sets up a regular surgery on Market Street for the convenience of constituents to discuss their problems, states: "I will treat political opponents with the respect they deserve who have the best interests of Atherton at heart."
Labour's new recruit, Mr Yusifzade, makes his political debut by attacking all opponents in a shameful way.
Quite frankly we don't need this sort of politics, which just reveals what type of candidate he is.
How nice if he would work together with others.
Tory Chris Green, before he was voted in as MP, worked well with the independents, and still does so in order to promote what is best for Atherton.
How good it would be if Mr Yusifzade had chosen to be a respectful politician.
A bad mistake. You won't be getting my vote, sir.
