IN reply to the letter from Norman Bradbury from Atherton, I don't see his beloved European Union putting much money into the town.

The EU referendum is not just about immigration, it is about democracy and controlling our own laws and borders.

I would like to ask Norman how the unqualified immigrants are essential to our economy.

Playing music outside of Lloyds Bank in Leigh town centre or selling the Big Issues near Halifax? Maybe another barbershop or a mini Polish supermarket?

Just what we need hey Norman.

I agree we need more qualified migrants to help build homes and serve our NHS, but I struggle to understand how Norman believes immigration is essential to our economy.

Japan will not stop production in the UK and German will not stop selling BMWs to the UK.

Fiat sold more than 450,000 cars to the UK last year. Does Norman really believe Fiat will stop selling us their cars, at more than £7,000 a car?

Even the CEO of JCB has written to all his 4,000 staff asking them to consider voting to leave.

As for free movement within the UK, has he ever stopped to think that we need capital if we want to move to Spain? We can't just go cap in hand asking for a council house and benefits from the Spanish government, unlike the many migrants who arrive over here.

European health insurance scheme is a con because if you need medical help while in Spain you are told to return home for treatment.

It is a bit like pet insurance. If your pet has a long term medical issue, your insurance stops.

I truly believe that once we vote to leave this European monster the rest will follow because it has failed, along with the pathetic, weak single currency .

I am voting to leave not just for myself but for my children and my grandchildren, before it is to late.

We won't get another chance either way.

Voting in or out is a leap in the dark. No-one truly knows the score, but it is worth a gamble to vote leave because I have seen nothing to convince me to stay in this European Union.

My father did not fight in the Second World War for this country to become a European superstate.

We have not gained power by being in the EU, we have lost it Norman.

People voted in 1975 for a common market, a simple trade agreement. Not a European single currency, European national anthem, one European army along and a European president.

The EU is a sinking ship. A life boat is waiting for us to get in and sail away from it.

If we don't get in those life boats on Thursday we will drown.
