THIS photograph of a bee pollinating a lily is our picture of the week.
It was taken by dad-of-two Phil Stout in the back garden of his home at Thorn Lea, Atherton, last month.
The 36-year-old said: “I just thought that it was so colourful, and the picture really highlights the details of the bee.
“I also thought it would be a good picture to show my children so they can see the process of pollinating and understand how bees do their job.
“It was just lucky that I was outside and saw the bees around the flowers.
“I am really happy with how the picture turned out.”
