OUR pets of the week are Jack Russell Terrier sisters Poppy and Fudge.

The 15-year-old dogs live on Miller Lane in Atherton with their owner Ann Wemyss-Cooke and her daughter Isobel.

Ann, 70, said: “Fudge had to have an eye removed about five years ago and her second eye removed two years ago, but it is hard to believe that she can’t see.

"She loves pottering about the garden and always knows exactly where her food bowl is.

“Poppy on the other hand is still very lively for her age but is absolutely no help to her sister.

“We have had the girls since they were tiny babies so they mean everything to us.

“They are big softies and have been great family dogs.”
