SO Wigan Council’s planning committee has decided once again to give outline planning permission for yet another housing estate in the Leigh area.
Another 470 houses. Is this greed for money?
Before the council starts giving permission for new homes it should be thinking of building some more trunk roads.
Manchester Road in Astley is becoming a car park on weekdays from 3pm onwards. It is totally gridlocked.
The Manor Road/Brook Drive estate, once a quiet estate, is now becoming a race track.
It is about time traffic lights were put up at both ends of this estate as residents are having difficulty in getting out at rush hours.
Perhaps it would be an idea to put ‘residents only’ signs up at both ends of the estate to give us our safe roads back.
