IS it just me or has it become acceptable to hear about pensioners and their families having to make daily life and death decisions over providing adequate care and support for a loved one due to the lack of hospital beds, care homes, day centres and care in the home?
Why on top of all this are our lives now being threatened by hospital doctors who want more overtime and pay but don’t want to work a recognised quality of life shift pattern?
They have been going on strike to protect their overtime payments culture with the full knowledge that someone’s heath will be permanently damaged and someone will die because of their misguided, irresponsible, unprofessional actions.
I want the assurance from the police and the British Medical Association that they will protect the public in any medical emergency we may be involved in when doctors are on strike and investigate all allegations of neglect or death caused by the actions of any one of these doctors and prosecute them where appropriate.
