I AM the new chairman of the Friends of Atherton Parks, a group of volunteers working very hard to make Atherton Park a better place for the town’s residents and visitors to enjoy.
We do this with very little funds and so we are delighted to have received a donation of £200 from Atherton Heritage Society.
We are very grateful for this and the funds will be used to continue the improvements being made to the park.
We have lots of great ideas for the future, and with the support we get from residents and the volunteers these plans will make a difference to everyone.
We welcome all new volunteers of all ages and abilities.
If you are interested in helping we are at the park most Sundays, or contact us on Facebook.
