I WOULD like to respond to an online comment from a Journal reader saying that Halloween is a harmless Celtic festival marking the changing seasons.
When I was a child Halloween was one of my favourite times of the year. I loved dressing up, going out trick-ortreating and enjoying the other festivities. But I didn’t know then what I know now, after doing research into Halloween.
I came across some very startling and eye-opening facts about the origins of activities for what I used to consider a fun and harmless time of the year.
Witches celebrate Halloween as the feast of Samhain, which is the first feast of the witchcraft year.
By participating in this with them on Halloween you give sanction to a holiday that promotes witches, divination and other occult practices which I think normal, right-minded people should never be involved in.
If you don’t believe me, check it out for yourselves.
