Trick-or-treaters on Halloween
I AGREE with Bob Welch’s letter about the origins of Halloween.
What I cannot understand is the involvement of schools and nurseries, even Christian establishments, in encouraging children to take part in the ‘celebrations’.
Of course it is a big money spinner for retailers, so even Sainsbury’s encourages this practice.
