ON behalf of the Good Deeds Trust committee I would like to express our sincere appreciation and say a big thank you to the community, the choirs and the church for supporting our annual memory tree event on December 1.
It was a very enjoyable evening.
This year we ran the event from two sites and had an incredible turnout – the best yet.
The evening started with the lights switch-on at Prospect House on Bolton Road.
There was entertainment by the Howe Bridge church and Leigh Community choirs at the Central Methodist Church, Atherton.
The memory tree was switched on by a representative of sponsors First Bus, and Santa made the evening special for all the children.
The memory tree is available to place tags on throughout December. They are £2 and you can write your message on them.
Come and have a look at the light display.
The funds raised are used by the local charity to support local people. For more details call 01942 888990.
