I CANNOT believe that Leigh Sports Village would do such a thing as cancel the car boot sale on Sunday, January 15, with no warning.
I phoned to book the previous day in the afternoon and was told it was on.
So I paid £14, which by the way is £1 more than it used to be.
I am 87 years old.
I went to the trouble of packing my car, rising at 6am.
It was pouring with rain. When I arrived there were two other people there but the place was closed.
Surely when I booked the people at Leigh Sports Village must have known they were going to cancel it.
It is hard to put into words how I felt that morning.
I have done the car boot before and everyone was complaining how few people came to buy because it wasn’t advertised enough, so I am not surprised they didn’t have enough sellers this time.
When I called in about it they couldn’t have cared less.
So I thought I would write a letter to see what others thought about it.
