I AM sorry to say I find Wigan MP Lisa Nandy very hard to stomach sometimes.

Yes I agree she is very bright and capable and may well become the leader of the Labour Party.

However her behaviour towards Paul Nuttall during BBC’s Question Time filmed in Carlisle was unnecessarily rude and seemed to show what may well be her true personality.

I do find her to be a snob.

The likeable Paul Nuttall got hammered with name-calling by the Labour Party during the Stoke by-election.

God knows why the Stoke electorate chose to replace him with yet another Labour MP. Perhaps some Stoke people like being insulted and rubbished.

I was in Hanley, Stoke, canvassing during the election campaign and found that many want change to come about despite the attempted character assassination.

Labour did a good job on Paul and have had enough practice recently, fine-tuning their techniques by being nasty to each other.

I think Paul is a decent guy who would have put in a massive effort for Stoke.

The city has lost out on a good, hardworking MP in not choosing Paul and will now get more of the same, with half-hearted, halfcocked support for Stoke until the MP gets fed up and moves on.

I hope Lisa Nandy didn’t join in with the gang saying Paul’s not a local Stoke man, which of course he never claimed to be.

Furthermore there is nothing wrong with Liverpudlians. They are great people and it is a great city.

If Labour wish to play that daft game, which district of Wigan did Lisa Nandy MP grow up in?

Poolstock, Newtown, Gidlow, Springfield, Beech Hill, Swinley, Scholes, Whelley, Worsley Mesnes, Standish Lower Ground, Lower or Higher Ince? Was it any of them?

Double standards Labour Party.

Name-calling seems to be modern Labour’s main electoral canvassing method, both locally and nationally.
