I AM pleased to say that a community public access defibrillator can now be found on the porch wall outside Lowton St Mary’s community centre.
I and the committee would like to thank members of Lowton Women’s Institute and the community for their support in raising funds for the box, the North West Ambulance Service for providing the defibrillator itself and Kath Houlton, James Grundy and the Brighter Borough for funding the installation costs.
Let’s hope that the defibrillator won’t be needed.
Lin Hayes
President
Lowton Women’s Institute
