I WANT to address how concerned I am regarding the lack of cash machines in Tyldesley.

I have just been informed that Lloyds intends to close the bank in Tyldesley which businesses and vulnerable people depend on. On top of this the ATM will leave the site as well.

It leaves me wondering where people will get their hard earned cash from. With all the money that Wigan Council is investing at the moment we certainly need access to our cash.

Pubs will be affected by this and the Post Office is due to close for two weeks soon for a makeover.

Morrisons used to have two cash machines but it is closed now and the B&M bargains store won’t install any.

Aldi used to have one and was robbed and now it refuses to replace the ATM.

Monks newsagents will have the only one around, which will run out of cash every week, easily by Saturday night.

The situation is critical.
