REGARDING the ‘free rein for builders’ letter in the Journal on April 27, I agree with all that the writer said.

However he omits several facts.

It won’t matter in the end whether land is green belt or brown belt, building will take place on it whatever colour of the rainbow it is.

The stupid legislation to allow open borders has resulted in far too many people on this island.

The idea of free movement was that numbers would balance due to the two-way traffic between countries, but we knew that would never happen.

Life is too good here. Therefore we are now overpopulated.

What will it be like in 20 years?

The numbers will increase even if we shut the doors now.

This green and pleasant land will be one huge housing estate.

All this is a further manifestation of our squeezed nation – squeezed for school places, hospital beds and now for a roof over our head.

Prime Minister Theresa May is fighting for a Brexit which will include border control, shutting the stable door etc.

Labour has now agreed to call a truce on immigration. This is late, carries no conviction and contradicts what Jeremy Corbyn has said over the past few months.

The ‘truce’ won’t last five minutes. How long will it take the Labour sheep and the remainers to finally sink this island?
