I AM writing as a very concerned resident of Tyldesley.

The anti-social element in the town seems to be growing out of control.

I have lived here for 30 years and I can see what has happened.

The lack of police or just friendly PCSOs is very evident in the area.

The town has grown with lots of new housing being built over the past 10 years.

There are a lot of people in one small area and, due in my opinion to a lack of police activity or just a police presence, they are running riot.

Vandalism of property, assaults, theft of cash machines, drugs, arson attacks, graffiti, burglary, I see it all.

I believe this community is suffering due to poorly managed policing.

The police response time here is poor.

I reported a fight here a few weeks ago, dialling 999, and the police came 30 minutes later.

They told me the area was clear but the perpetrators had enough time to stroll off like nothing had happened.

I am one of many worried parents in the area.

Crime has gone up and bringing my son up around here is scary.

There are lots of youths with seemingly nothing to do apart from hanging around street corners causing problems for community members.
