AM concerned about democracy and want voter turnout at the General Election to be high.

So I would like to ask Journal readers to make sure they are registered to vote in the election before Monday.

You can register online in minutes at gov.uk/register-to-vote.

All you need is your National Insurance number, or alternatively you can register by calling electoral services at the council.

Anyone who may not find it easy to get to the polling station can also ask for a postal vote or proxy vote before Tuesday.

Make your vote count in this election.
