MY friends and I regularly meet up in town on Friday nights.
Our conversation came round to jobs that we need doing around the house.
Unknown to each other, we had all been let down by local tradesmen within the last few weeks.
One of my friends accepted a quote for a new lawn but the man never turned up to lay it.
Another accepted a quote for landscaping work but never saw them again.
Another paid £4 online for someone to contact him regarding landscaping work and he is still waiting.
I contacted a joiner who came to my house on time, measured up and took photographs and I have not seen him since.
Come on tradesmen, if you can’t do the job, say so.
If you can’t do it for a few weeks, say so.
All we want is good, reliable tradesmen who can do a good job at a reasonable price.
