I FIND it interesting that Andy Burnham now supports the campaign to reopen Kenyon Junction to provide a rail station for Leigh.
I seem to recall several weeks ago that there was a front page article in your newspaper discussing the progress made on Kenyon Junction.
The project seems largely to have been supported by a combination of Lowton residents and Conservative councillor and now candidate for Leigh at the General Election James Grundy.
There was no mention of any input from Mr Burnham.
Could it be that now much of the hard work has already been done by others he seeks to take the credit for a project he often promised but never delivered on when he was MP for Leigh?
Cllr Grundy should receive much of the credit for his campaigning on the rail station.
