IN response to the ‘cars on pavements’ letter in last week’s Journal, this is a problem everywhere.

Outside my house the pavement has been repaired more than once due to the flags sinking with the weight of the cars being parked on them. This has resulted in several accidents.

An elderly lady tripped and broke her leg and a child tripped and had her teeth knocked out. They both required hospital treatment.

The solution is more traffic wardens and a £100 fine for every wheel on a pavement.

We now live in an ‘I’m alright Jack’ society. People are so selfish.
