ON a recent visit to Leigh Library with my two grandchildren, aged one and three, I was totally appalled.
My three-year-old granddaughter was in need of the restroom but I was told there are no public toilets there anymore.
In the past I have been given a code to access the facilities so staff can monitor who is using them but I was told I had to take her elsewhere with the nearest toilet being Leigh Bus Station.
Reluctantly, they let me use the disabled toilets.
I could not believe it, especially as they hold children’s classes, so what are they supposed to do if they need to go the toilet?
People will avoid using the library if this is not changed.
