SIR, A million thanks to the people of Tyldesley for their generous donations to our Christmas collection.
Despite the recession and drawbacks and foul weather you turned up trumps again enabling the Rotary Club to record its biggest total in the last 20 years. It fully justified the purchase of a new chassis for our sleigh. It says something for a community to put their hands in their pockets and give so magnificently to causes in greater need than ours.
Congratulations for confirming once again that Tyldesley people are among the most magnaminous in the district.
